2. Which pricing plan do I pick?

When renting an apartment or house, it’s important to determine how much you should spend on rent to keep your budget manageable. The 30% rule is one guideline for determining what you should pay. This rule of thumb for rent dictates spending no more than 30% of your income on housing each month. The reasoning behind it is that by capping your rent payment at 30% of your monthly income, you’ll still have plenty of money left to cover other living expenses and to work toward your financial goals.

 

 

 

3. How to choose the right room?

Before you sign any lease, make sure you review the floor plan thoroughly and imagine your lifestyle within the space. Does the kitchen meet your needs? Does the apartment have enough bedrooms and bathrooms? Are the rooms large enough to accommodate all your things? Is the flooring suited to your lifestyle? If you can’t view the exact apartment you will live in, or an apartment with the same layout and room sizes, ask the leasing agent to see a floor plan of the apartment that would be available, and make sure you understand how the room layout and room sizes shown on the floor plan compares to the model apartment you have toured.
